Tuakana, Tupu, and Teina are all levels of trust in our classroom. Tuakana is the expert, and Teina is the learner. Tuakana Teina is the relationship between the expert and the learner.
We were all trusted to rate ourselves on whichever level we chose. I chose to put myself on Tuakana. I think I belong in Tuakana because I can work well on my own, and I am capable of, and consistently make the right choices for my learning.
To stay Tuakana, I will need to consistently make the right choices, and always do the right thing even when nobody is looking.
