This year I am looking forward to speeches because I love being able to write something, and then sharing it with everyone. I’m also looking forward to Tech. I love the idea of learning new things outside of school. I can’t wait for Impact - I love doing something that affects others in a good way outside of school, and knowing that I am making a difference.
This year something different I want to try is a leadership role. I know that it will be a great responsibility and I have been wanting to take on some more responsibility for quite some time.
My first impressions in the Marama Team was that it was going to be really really challenging, but now that I've settled in a bit more, I've realized that it's going to be a challenge (just not such a big one, as I expected!) , but it will be a good challenge that will push my learning further.
One of the goals I would like to achieve this year is to earn my gold card. I would also like to become an early level 5 or even a level 5 writer. To achieve both of those goals I'm going to need to work very hard, and make good choices, like where I am going to sit, and how I am going to plan out my time wisely.
This year I know I am going to get better at self managing my learning, and reading a wide range of genres.
This year I hope to achieve lots, and make the most of all the learning opportunities I get.
